March 3, 2008 - Adam

This is my fourth year muskie fishing and my first year using the Gotcha Baits.
The number and quality of fish I have caught this year on these baits is just
tremendous. The baits are extremely durable and have a great action as well a
paint job that can't be matched.  I wish I would have known about them sooner.

The best colors for me were the St. Lawrence followed by the Rattlesnake, Brown
Back Lawton and the WB Perch.

Feb. 10, 2008 -Medicine Man

My best colors for the small baits were
black crackle with chartreuse belly (#1) then St. Lawrence, Lawton, Black Carp and
Rattlesnake.  We had some phenomenal days with your baits this summer.  I believe
the one day Craig and I fished by each other we had over 50 fished hooked up between
the two boats and I believe they were 90% on your small baits.

Lapper Lures makes great baits!  I've used Terry's baits since I started muskie
fishing about ten years ago.  The gotcha's are about the only bait that I still
use from my first season of buying and trying all the wrong baits and some of the
right ones.  Now my bait selection is only the right baits that produce and
Gotcha's are in the mix.  Over the years the Gotcha's have produced many 30 plus
pound fish for me.  Terry's baits are the right price, he has great colors, they
hold up to heavy hits, and he stands behind his product.  Highly recommended by
the "Medicine Man", Eddie Pascua.

August 12, 2007 - MOMC Tournament,

I finally got to out and do a little fishing on Sunday. The waves were a little rough in the morning but we manage to get out about 9:00 AM. The fishing was a little slow for us but we finally managed to get a 40" muskie about 11:00 AM on a small jointed silver coachdog Gotcha. Some super nice fish were caught on Saturday in the MOMC Tournament.

Still some nice fish being caught

Had a 6 hour trip today Sun 7/15. What a beautiful day to be out on the water, plenty of sun and some good times.. Fish weren`t snapping like the last few trips, but we still boated 3 of the 7 we had on.. Had one screamer that I would have liked to see on the back end of a double header but that`s how she got big giving fishermen the slip. Same program as early in the week small gotchas 2 oz - 40 ft back off the boards.. Hot color olive frog yellow belly had 4 hits. Still have a few dates open in August to come battle these beasts give us a call and Good Luck.. Captain Caig Miller (www.heatwavecharters.com)

Well the wind was cranking today Sat 7-14 .. I was kinda suspect as to how well we would do with the strong SW wind. I knew where the fish were, but would they go today.. THEY DID to the tune of 8 for 13 with a MONSTER 35 pounder and another fish real close to 30 pounds.. The Heat Wave boat and crew is on fire 5 FISH OVER 30 POUNDS IN 4 TRIPS in a row.... Once again all the fish were caught on small gotchas.. This bait folks is making the difference for some reason it`s what they want and I have been giving it to them.. Todays charter was equally impressive for big fish .. The Red Barn has been on fire.. Ive boated 4 fish over 30 pounds in 3 trips, and have lost some real screamers that I would have loved to see.. We ended up 9 for 15 today (7/13) once again small gotchas were the ticket.. Rattlesnake, Bluefrog, silver carp and olive frog were the flavors.. Good Luck Captain Craig (www.heatwavecharters.com)

Well I`ve had charters all week and it`s been the same thing everyday anywhere from 5 to 7 fish so I haven`t listed a report.. Today though was unreal no hits for the first 4 hours of the charter than all hell broke loose. We had 27 fish on in the next 4 hours and boated 17 of them.. I`ve done these numbers many times before but what was amazing was the quality of these fish 2 over 30 pounds the biggest a 52 inch 33 pound beauty. I don`t know how many we had over 44 inches maybe half. It was just awesome 4 or 5 double headers.. All the fish were caught on little gotchas smoke`in hot set up was 2 oz. 40ft back off a planner board... 10oz. - 10ft back on a down rod.. Good to see the Lake St. Clair Muskie are still alive and doing well.. tight lines Capt. Craig Miller (www.heatwavecharters.com)

Much better day

As promised I fished Tues. 7/3 on the Canadian side by the red barn.. The water color was just awesome the weeds blew out and I was marking big hooks everything seemed perfect.. For the first hour it was we boated 2 of the first 4 on but lost a really nice fish that was just screaming line out.. Then thing slowed up for the remainder of the charter, and we just picked away at them.. We ended up landing 4 out of the 7 muskies we had on and also got a bonus smallmouth and a 7 pound walleye.. Not so bad I was happy to get that muskie smell back into the boat.. Lures was a mixed bag couple on small gotchas, couple on tuff shads, lokes, ziggy and a bucktail each went once.. Had a 6 hour charter on 6/28/07. Started out really tough with strong NE winds making for a bumpy ride. Trolled and trolled for 4 hours with out a touch.. We prayed to look at just one nice fish. To our surprize the winds let up and the lake laid down and our prayers were than answered. In the last 2 hours the action was fast. We had 8 muskies on and land 5 of them. We also landed 2 nice smallmouth that both hit while fighting muskies. A 19 3/4 inch 5 pounder and a 18 1/2 inch 4 pounder. All the fish came on (Terry Lapinowski`s) small gotchas 2 oz. 40ft. back off planner boards. bluefrog, rattlesnake, carp and wb perch were the colors that went. Good Luck guys and never give up always keep working, and good things will happen. Tight Lines Captain Craig (www.heatwavecharters.com)

Conditions finally favored the fishermen

Fished in Canada Wed. 6/20 by Red Barn ..Wind was WSW. We had a nice chop.. Water color was off colored. Presto with conditions right the fish finally turned on. We went 7 for 9 with some really healthy fish in the 45-46 inch range. Including one double header.. Lokes and small gotchas seemed to be the bait of choice in St Lawenrence and crackle frog color.. Planner boards 2oz-30ft and 10oz-10ft on a downrod was the best setups.. Good Luck and catch a big one..Captain Craig (www.heatwavecharters.com)

I operate Heat Wave Musky Charters on lake St. Clair in Michigan and have used
Terry`s gotcha  baits for several years.  Over this time I have boated hundreds of
muskies including some real hogs on these baits.   I have been most pleased with the
lures quality and dependability.  Everyone has there old faithfuls that they turn to
when fishing gets tough.. I promise you that a gotcha bait is one of my old
faithfuls, and is in the water on my charters. Bottom line is if I don`t catch fish
I lose business. These baits see plenty of run time on my boat because THEY WORK..
